“Pico De Gallos” Needs You.

Our friend Jonathan Argudo is making a feature documentary. But he needs your help.

Along with Geko Jones, the powerhouse NYC DJ behind the weekly Qué Bajo?! parties (for which Jon makes the promo videos), Jonathan traveled to Colombia earlier this year to document an emerging music scene that some are calling Tropical Bass. The sound can be described as a meeting of Afro-Colombian tradition and DJ-style electro-beats; Geko is one of the driving forces.

Jon and Geko’s trip was such an inspiration, and the footage so vibrant, that they knew they had to return, having only scratched the surface. The plan is to turn it all into a feature-doc called Pico De Gallos. They’re campaigning for your help on IndieGoGo, hoping to reach a goal of $6,000 (I think we can get them there).
